Apprenticeship Path

Our Training History

At Castle we put our faith in the knowledge, skills and commitment of our people. In an environment where high quality engineering skills are in short supply, we make a substantial investment into training a world class workforce.

Castle has been training apprentices for over half a century, and currently runs one of the largest apprenticeship schemes pro rata to company size in the UK.

To understand our commitment to training, one only has to know that over 50% of the engineering work-force have been trained utilising our in-house apprenticeship scheme; including the top management.

Training Opportunities

Since 1997 Castle has been an EMTA approved training centre and we now offer a Modern Apprenticeship programme, which lasts four years and encompasses level 2 and level 3 SNVQ plus HNC and HND certificates at college.

Castle Precision in conjunction with Semta and Strathclyde University is in the process of building a brand new AMA programme (Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeship) by offering a bespoke manufacturing degree built into the apprenticeship programme. In this five year programme you will have the opportunity to complete a full development path from HNC to HND to a Degree. The AMA route will be reserved for exceptional candidates with a desire for engineering and progress through the establishment.

In Summary

The aerospace, defence and space sectors offer up some of the most exciting, demanding and lucrative areas in industry today. Castle endeavours to keep its training at the leading edge to provide young people with some of the best training in industry.
